Does the world really need more drive pedals? With the recent release of the Westwood Translucent Drive Manipulator, EarthQuaker Devices definitely seem to think so, and I’m so happy they did! Drive pedals typically make me yawn, and see me bored out of my skull within 10min, but with the new Westwood Translucent Drive Manipulator my jaw dropped to the floor within the first 10min due to the abundance of amazing tones flowing out of this stunning low- to medium-gain pedal.
It’s probably one of the richest-sounding low-gain drives I’ve ever heard, that really helps retain (or add) body and heft in your tone, all while surrounding your core tone with gorgeous harmonics that just jump out at you.
