Vibe and Rotary
Univibe and Rotary carved out their place in effects pedal history during the 70s, where especially tonal titans like Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour and Stevie Ray Vaughan used the uniquely thick and swirly sounds to great effect.
What makes vibe and rotary such special effects is in the uncanny way they remind us of other sounds, like phaser, chorus, vibrato and wah, all while firmly remaining their own thing. This earthly yet otherworldly feel is also what makes these effects more relevant than ever today, as they can add extremely lush and hypnotic movements to pad swells and soundscapes and immense depth to complex chord progressions and soaring melodies.
