EarthQuaker is back with another addition to their limited legacy reissue series, and this time they brought back their amazing Disaster Transport delay as the Disaster Transport Legacy Reissue. But where the White Light Reissue was circuit-wise a 1 to 1 reproduction, this one almost feels like an entirely new pedal.
It’s more crisp, bright and present, reminding me more of old tape echoes like the Maestro Echoplex, whereas the original ones had a more round and warm voicing, like vintage analog delay units.
On top of that you have way deeper modulation control now with the new mod modes and speed toggles. I have to admit that I personally prefer the new one here, but I’m generally also more into bright, present and percussive repeats and this one just delivers beautifully.
