This was followed by the distorted oceanic reverb tones of WHEN THE SUN EXPLODES, containing the finest shoegaze textures you’ll ever yield from a single pedal. Last but not least, there’s the EXPLODER, a hyper flexible distortion pedal with in-built white noise generator.

“I blame all of this on my friend Daniel Rudolph. He introduced me to this amazing brand at a pedal hang we did way back. He had the When The Sun Explodes and Endless Sleeper on his board, and I basically just ended up tinkering with those two the entire time. These pedals use the Belton Brick and PT2399, chip- sets that I felt had been explored to their fullest, yet somehow Nick managed to breathe new exciting life into them, creating two stunning shoegazy sound design tools. That’s exactly why I love Nick’s pedals so much. They can do the fundamentals, but you should just let them do what they do best… carry you to outer space!”
