Source Audio were founded by industry veterans Roger Smith and Jesse Remignanti in 2006. The two digital wizards cut their sonic teeth at Analog Devices back in the day, actually creating the DSP chips that inhabit so many of today’s pedals, so of course Source Audio were destined to become pioneers within the digital realm.
They’ve been pushing signal processing boundaries year after year, which now sees them house an impressive array of standout pedals. From the impressive high-fidelity stereo delay tones of NEMESIS and haunting dual reverb ambience of VENTRIS and all the way to COLLIDER that beautifully merges those two worlds perfectly with its powerful delay and reverb engines. The admirers of all things synthetic can dive into the extremely deep sound designs of the C4 Synth and ULTRAWAVE, while the studio rats can go tone tweaking crazy with the EQ2 and ATLAS Compressor.
Source Audio have managed to create devices that contain boundless sonic options, but have somehow fit it all into pedals that are extremely straight forward to use, making these pedals as impressive and relevant tomorrow as they are today.
“I know I’m late to the game here, as I’ve only recently tried Source Audio pedals for the first time. But if something is good, then it’s still good even well after its inception, and the Source Audio Nemesis Delay and Ventris Reverb are perfect examples of this. They have years to their name now, but still sound and feel as fresh as the day they were released. The sounds are ridiculously pristine, hyper realistic and ultra-dreamy, and I love how it’s all housed in designs that are super easy to navigate. These two have already claimed their place on my board, and I can feel that more Source Audio gear will make its way there fast.”
